Set in the Kingdom of Denmark, Hamlet tells the story of Prince Hamlet, whose world is shattered after the sudden death of his father, King Hamlet. To make matters worse, his mother, Queen Gertrude, has hastily married his uncle, Claudius, who has now seized the Danish throne. The late king's ghost appears to Prince Hamlet, revealing a shocking truth: he was murdered by Claudius, and demanding that Hamlet exact revenge. Feigning madness to investigate and plan his vengeance, Hamlet struggles with profound inner turmoil, existential doubt, and hesitation. His delay sets off a tragic chain of events involving espionage, madness, and psychological disintegration, ultimately culminating in a devastating bloodbath that destroys the royal court.
