Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

After watching Harry Porter movie episode one to six, I thought I would have no problem entering the novel version of episode seven, nevertheless I was totally wrong. Although the movie was very entertaining as well, it ignored many details, it led to the fact that I can hardly catch up with the pace of the story.

I did not blame the director on ignoring many of the details; I blame myself on starting to read the novel too late instead. The writer J.K. Rowling is so capable of creating a fascinating story, she combines such a mysterious story in those simple words. I can imagine I’m right beside the characters, stunning spells, invisible cloth and death eaters. Although the special effects did give me visual stimulation, but after experiencing the miracle of the novel, I enjoy imagining the theme myself.

In this book the main characters are fighting for the magic world against their worst enemy, Lord Voldemort. The book built the atmosphere of how the villains were very evil and how their plans seemed so reasonable to come true. Whenever the villains were about to succeed, sometimes Harry Porter and his friends could think of a way to reverse the situation, sometimes even miracles would happen. However, sometimes tragedies could happen without any trace, and sometimes the villains would be able to complete their missions. My heart beat faster and faster while reading through those paragraphs, but this was the reason that kept me reading it. You can never guess what’s on the next page. Frequently, I would finish three more chapters than what I planned to read. The story is fascinating enough that I could not stop wondering what would happen next.

There is another thing I like about the book, I really enjoy the way the writer makes up a character, It seemed like the book could control me when I was reading through the details of an character, even though occasionally there would be words you can’t comprehend, but you can still sense the characteristic that the writer was willing to give you. For instance, I think of the main character Harry Porter as an honest, brave person, and I think of the main villain Voldemort as a cold-blooded, powerful person. The book is also interesting when some of the characters would suddenly change their characteristic. For example, a coward person could became a leader, or some characters that I once believed in could suddenly became a villain, these changes would shock you for a while but then you would find out that as the story goes on, they were all reasonable, sometimes I wonder how the writer could think of such a brilliant story.

After all, I really precious the reading experience and I really admires the writer J.K. Rowling of her ability to create climaxes throughout the story, I believe this is what movies can’t replace. I also admires that her skills to describe characters, and the skill to take readers into her magic world. I don’t think I would appreciate the book this much if it is missing any of the things above. The book makes me desire to read all the previous episodes.
