Twilight

Twilight, a novel about romance and marvel, is such an awesome novel that I can’t image any other novels that are better than it. The twists and turns of its plot make it difficult for readers to put it down. The love between the two characters is very complex and irreplaceable; they love each other more than they love themselves.

Bella is a senior high school student; she meets a strange and mysterious boy, Edward, at school. Since he is a vampire, Edward moves faster than ordinary human beings; he is strong, and his eyes can change colors, and most important of all, he can read people’s mind except Bella’s. It takes Bella a while to know that Edward is a vampire. However, it doesn’t scare her away. On the contrary, she falls in love with him. As all love stories would have it, Jacob, one of Bella’s best friends, also falls in love with her. Jacob is a werewolf. And the most intriguing part is that vampires and werewolves are born enemy; they hate each other.

The three species in the novel--vampires, werewolves and human beings don’t get along with each other very well; they make me think of the real world in which we live. People in the past used to look down on people just because of their skin colors. Even though we are now in the 21st century, some human beings are subject to racial discrimination. Everyone is created equal. People should not be judged by their skin color but by their personality.

Therefore, in this novel, the author tries to convey the idea of love and race. A human being falls in love with a vampire; which is normal, because all of the vampires are attractive; they are beautiful and special. But it is rare to see a vampire fall in love with human, since most of the vampires approach to human just for their blood--the hot liquid under the warm skin. Edward must love Bella so much that he can be with her without hurting her.

The fearless love between Bella and Edward shocks me greatly. Love does conquer all. With love, the two distinct species can embrace the differences and overcome all obstacles together without fear. I am all in awe with the power of love. Love is so strong that it can cross the bond between two different species and make seemingly impossible things come true. So valuable is the existence of love that it also reminds me to cherish the close relationships between our family and friends. Difficult as it is to speak it out to the one we love, don’t wait until it is too late. After reading the novel, I firmly believe that with love, I definitely can overcome all the barriers lying in front of me. I love Twilight so much that I cannot stand parting with it. The writer makes everything in the novel seem so real and makes people yearn for the word in Twilight.
